A Success Guide for Teens, by a Teen

Be Your Own Navigator:

Welcome to the ultimate life skills company.

Launched in 2024 by 17-year-old Christian Taber, NavigatorTeen is on a mission to help teens unlock their potential and set sail for success - now and into the future. At the core of NavigatorTeen is Christian's book, Be Your Own Navigator, written to empower teens to achieve their goals - but most importantly, equip them with the skills to do so. The NavigatorTeen company has since grown to include educational programs and an inspirational lifestyle brand.

We believe teenage life can be so much more than a time for “survival.” It's a time for fun, friends, family, and activities, but also for seizing opportunities and excelling in the moment.

Why wait to do something great? Let’s get started…

 We’re All About the Fundamentals.

  • Your teenage years are full of opportunity. Use this time to do something great - hike up your grades, score more points, be a leader, make an impact, something else, or all of the above!

Each chapter in Be Your Own Navigator: A Success Guide for Teens, by a Teen covers a different life skill to guide you along the way and help you be your very best.

Let’s write your success story. Welcome aboard.

  • This is where it all begins… picking a target. What are you aiming for? How bad do you want it, and why? No matter the size, define your goal clearly, think about the journey ahead, and venture on.

  • Everyone has 24 hours in a day, but learning how to harness them can make time your MVP. With time management skills, you can juggle your hectic schedule and work on turning goals into reality. Let’s dial in the focus, organize, and get stuff done… but don’t worry, there’s plenty of time for fun!

  • Without looking closely, your surroundings can whip up a current and sweep you away. By learning how to tell who and what breaks you down and builds you up, you can surround yourself with the best and keep a tight hold on the direction of your ship. In turn, by being your very best self, you can make a positive impact and inspire others.

  • From first impressions to small talk, it’s important to establish yourself as a communicator worth listening to, and as someone who will listen and respond well to others. Then, master the (dreaded) art of public speaking - with some helpful tips and tricks, you’ll be able to shed your fear, hold your audience tight, and leave a lasting impact.

  • Learn to be your own navigator as you cut the chains of following, seize opportunities, and steer your own ship. Then be a guide to others, leading teams as their captain, servant, visionary, and motivational mastermind.

  • If habits are a sort of “autopilot,” why not put them to work? First, take a step back and look at your habits - keep the good and kick the bad. Then, learn how to build strong routines to take some of the thinking out of your day, giving you the freedom to focus on other tasks.

  • Money can be saved, spent, multiplied, and donated… and you don’t have to be a billionaire to do all of those things. Here, you’ll learn how to become money-savvy, picking up skills to help you make the best of any amount of moolah.

  • There is gold to be had in both success and failure, in the glorious triumphs and rock-bottom flops. Through the power of ideas and experience, we can discover valuable lessons and skills to keep improving as we move forward.

  • This is where it all comes together. Your life philosophy is a blend of go-to methods, guiding you in everything from setting goals to public speaking to leading teams. By finding new ideas, trying them, and refining them, you will discover which approaches are the best fit for you. As your skills and experience grow, your philosophy could be rebuilt time and time again… but the fundamentals never change.
